DESCRIPTION:

Ladybird Tree is an original abstract impressionist painting in which the artist’s intention was to explore the natural order that connects birds, humans, and the living structures that support them.

At the core of the composition, the woman’s outstretched arm and hand transform into a single bird, symbolizing the inseparable relationship between humanity and the natural world. Embedded within the trunk is a Fibonacci spiral, intentionally placed to reference natural law, balance, and the mathematical patterns that govern growth in both flora and fauna. The spiral acts as a visual thread, uniting the human and avian forms within the living structure that supports them.

As the trunk rises, it becomes the profile of a woman—an intentional merging of human form and nature. Opposite her, a second profile emerges, facing the Lady Tree, suggesting dialogue, reflection, or the quiet relationship between humanity and the natural world. This transformation is symbolic of stewardship, awareness, and the responsibility of humans to exist in harmony with nature rather than apart from it.

The dense layering of paint and mixed-media elements reflects the accumulation of time, experience, and intention. Rather than depicting a literal scene, the artist allows forms to surface intuitively, creating a symbolic narrative rooted in pattern, balance, and coexistence. Ladybird Tree serves as a visual reflection on the natural order of life, revealing the interconnected relationships between humanity, birds, and the underlying patterns that unite all living things.
