DESCRIPTION:

For Birds is an original abstract impressionist painting in which the artist’s intention was to explore the natural order that connects birds, humans, and the living structures that support them.

At the core of the composition, a bird sits on its nest, while smaller birds appear below along the tree trunk. These impressions are symbolic of generational movement, shared instinct, and the collective presence of life for birds. Embedded within the trunk is a Fibonacci spiral, intentionally placed to reference natural law, balance, and the mathematical patterns that govern growth in both flora and fauna. The spiral acts as a visual thread, uniting the birds with the structure that holds them.

As the trunk rises, it becomes the profile of a woman–an intentional merging of human form and nature. This transformation is symbolic of stewardship, awareness, and the responsibility of humans to exist in harmony for birds rather than apart from them. A second smaller tree echoes the main form, reinforcing ideas of repetition, evolution, and the continuation of natural systems.

The dense layering of paint and mixed-media elements reflects the accumulation of time, experience, and intention. Rathern than depicting a literal scene, the artist allows forms to surface intuitively, creating a symbolic narrative rooted in pattern, protection, and coexistence. Created FOR BIRDS, this work serves as a visual reflection on interconnected life, natural design, and the conscious act of creating space and respect for birds within the greater whole.
